Larger Levels of MatterThis page represents the "real world," the World of Direct Observation.  One of the reasons I'm putting this site together is to show that intuitions based on the World of Direct Observation may not always explain behavior at higher or lower levels.

In the world that we live in, very few physical laws are required to describe all of the phenomena we observe.  The World of Direct Observation can be characterized by several simple observations:

bulletAcceleration imparted to a mass is proportional to the force applied to the mass,
bulletVelocities add, and
bulletHeat flows from hot to cold.
