You've probably never tasted cornbread so sweet and delicious!
1 cup stoneground cornmeal
1 cup flour
1 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar ( or 1/4 cup honey)
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 stick butter (3/4 cup oil)
Stir all ingredients together, except oil, just enough to moisten. Pour
oil into frying pan.
Then add mixture on top of oil. Bake 450-500 about 20 minutes.
